The Q3 Credit Conditions Survey, from lenders' own responses gathered between 17 August and 4 September: secured and unsecured credit availability down, demand for house-purchase and remortgage lending down, credit to small and medium-sized businesses down. On the Bank's scale a "decrease" is a net balance below -10. The Bank: "The results do not necessarily reflect our views on credit conditions."
